FAQ   For Customers

Are all the pieces on The Cubby made by students?
Yes! Our mission is to support emerging and experienced student creators, so all the work that you see on The Cubby is made by college students.
How often is The Cubby updated with new work?
Everyday! New student creators are always signing up, so you can expect new posts on a daily basis.
Do paintings, prints, and drawings come framed?
That all depends on the specific piece of work. Each seller will determine whether their artwork is framed or unframed, and you can generally find this in the product description. If you don’t see it there, feel free to message the seller and ask!
What happens after I buy a piece?
You will receive a confirmation of your purchase, and you’ll be given a link to track your purchase. The seller also receives confirmation of your purchase, so they know to begin preparing your order. It’s that simple!
Who pays for shipping?
Unless the seller specifies that their product includes free shipping, buyers typically pay for shipping.
Does The Cubby ship internationally?
As of now, The Cubby only ships within the United States. We plan on expanding to international shipping in 2022.
How do I know when I’ll receive my piece?
Your order is assigned a tracking number at the beginning of the shipping process. You can use this shipping number to track the status of your purchase. You will also receive a confirmation email when your order has shipped.
What happens if my purchase arrives and it’s damaged or it's lost in shipping?
If the piece is damaged, you will receive a full refund on your order from the artist. All you need to do is provide us with proof of transaction and a photo of the damaged item, and return the damaged item to the artist. In the extremely rare case your package is lost during shipping, you should contact the shipping provider. Please see our full Return Policy for more details. Properly creating and shipping items is the full responsibility of the artist. The Cubby is not liable for any occurrence in the transactional or shipping process.
Can I request commissioned work from student creators?
Yes, many student creators are open to custom work and commissions. All you have to do is message them and tell them what you’re looking for!
